September 20, 2009

Dignitas Technologies has been awarded a Phase II SBIR entitled “Automated Generation of Underground Structures”. This effort complements a Phase I option awarded earlier this year. RDECOM-STTC is the awarding government agency and Julio de la Cruz is the government COR. Dignitas Technologies is joined by Applied Research Associates (ARA) as a subcontractor on this effort. This contract will continue Dignitas’ Phase I work in conducting research into the generation and representation of underground structures based upon the company’s extensive experience in terrain representation for simulation systems across Live, Virtual and Constructive systems. This Phase II SBIR is a research effort that is developing a process for the automatic generation of underground structures for use in both visual and non-visual formats. The approach is based upon reuse of the Urban and Underground Model Generator (U2MG) combined with a strong focus on support for major Army programs.

Dignitas Technologies, LLC (dignitas.stackframe.com) was founded in 2004 to provide high quality engineering services to the modeling, simulation, and training community. Based in the Orlando, FL area, Dignitas Technologies supports a wide range of military training programs across live, virtual, and constructive domains with a particular focus on computer generated forces and terrain reasoning.
